  I have dealt with First Nations Home Mortgage on 2 different occasions, the first time was to refinance my home last fall and the second time was to purchase my home this spring. I can unequivocally say that working with this company and particularly Jim Taylor, was a breeze from start to finish. The attention to detail and the ease with which the entire experience was for me on both occasions made the stress of refinancing and the extreme stress of buying and selling a home as easy as it could possibly be. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to refinance or buy a home!

  As a first-time home buyer, I had a great experience working with James, and I highly recommend his services. I called him initially on the advice of a friend who had worked with him before. At that time, I wasn’t very serious about buying a home and didn’t think it was something that I had the capacity for at the time – though my credit is good, I just didn’t have money saved up for a down payment or any closing costs. James explained to me all kinds of programs designed to help first-time home buyers. He finally found me a loan that didn’t require any money down and I didn’t have any out of pocket expenses at closing. And my mortgage ended up being almost exactly the same as I was paying for a one bedroom apartment that was only a fraction of the size. This all happened in the space of about 2 months. So I went from someone who had no intention of buying a home, to a happy home owner with a reasonable mortgage in just a few months. I still feel amazed just writing this. So if you are interested in getting your first home, and have good credit, then definitely give James a call and he will find you the best path to home ownership. Also, everyone else in the process he recommended to me (the real estate agent, the lawyer, etc) was very professional and competent to work with as well. I really can’t express what a great and professional experience I had throughout the entire course of what is otherwise known to be a stressful process. Highly, highly recommend!!!

  James always has his clients best interest in mind and aims to get loans closed as quick as possible. I am consistently impressed with him. I would trust him with my personal mortgage and recommend to anyone looking to buy or refinance a home.

  I originally called a National Lender directly. I was pre-qualified and needed 4 items to move to the pre-approval phase and they put the ball back in my court. Things that they could have handled and should have especially since I was the customer. My realtor's advise was to use a local lender and she recommended James Taylor with First Nations. I am so glad that I listened. I called James on a Tuesday morning and left a message. He got back with me that afternoon and we exchanged information. By the next evening he had the four items handled, got me pre-approved, got me a great rate, and his approval was $20,000 higher then with the lender I called directly. Now that is what I call customer service. Throughout the whole process I felt like I was the only mortgage he was handling and not just another number. He answered my text and calls almost immediately, walked me through ever step, and never grew weary of the million questions I had. A mortgage can be a tedious tasks with many hiccups along the way but he foresaw any and every potential issue and handled them before they happened. He is the most professional, friendly, and patient loan officer I have ever dealt with. We started looking for houses on Nov. 4 and closed Dec. 8. Oh did I mention the seller lived across the country in a different time zone yet with James we were able to close in 34 days. Crazy fast. The realtor of 20+ years and closing attorney were both amazed what he was able to do for us. By the way the only communication I got from the other lender were a couple of emails. One asking me if I have improved my buying power and if not they would need the 4 items, another wishing me Happy Thanksgiving (the same came the next day) , another asking me if I have found a house, and others that weren't even suppose to go to me. I was just another number to them. James is a broker and the irony in all this is he used the same lender that I originally called. That other loan officer that wanted me to do the leg work lost a nice commission and I made a friend in James Taylor. He is worth his weight in gold and you would be crazy to use anyone else. Thank you James for your dedication and hard work.
